Just be careful. The creek isn't too dangerous if you pay attention.
Put in at Wolftever boat ramp, just across the creek on the right of Hwy 58.
Good luck, emoFish

THKS hal i have seen on the form that its a pretty good creek so i guess i will go and try it out tuesday, if anyone would like to fish with me on that creek that knows a littlie about it on tuesday morning send me a pm....

At the present time the water still isn't at summer pool and is about 2.5 feet short of full. As long as you don't go more than 3 miles back in the creek you should be fine but once you get back farther than that you had better have a good map and depthfinder. You can run all the way back to the Snow Hill bridge after the split off of Long Savanah creek but be careful. I haven't been back in the back of the Wolftever branch but if you go back there be sure to stay in the creek channel because there are some really shallow spots and some big stumps. Let us know how you do. What fish are you looking for?

thks polo I am really just looking to go to Wolftever to try an learn the creek. Really I'm looking to fish for anything besides a stick.

Only hazards are the other boaters, skiers, and jetskiers. We went up there to check it out yesterday and there were boats EVERYWHERE! People are NOT courteous. So be patient, be on the RIGHT side, and be ready to bail when somebody comes screaming around the corner at 50mph. Be safe and let us know how you do up there.
