I see game every day on the way to work, but today was stellar. I saw more deer and turkeys out and about than usual. I wonder if the fishing will coraspond to the game activity today? Cant wait to see what happens....

What was the baraometric pressure???

Old says, if you see animals moving around on the way to the ramp, fishing will be good.

If you see a bunch of cows laying down in a pasture, the fish ain't bitin. When all the cows are feeding, the fish will bite. The cows will always feed in the same direction.

I guess it is hard to find a bunch of cows anywhere now.

You all may think that statement is funny, However, there is a bunch of truth in it... Kin folks over at Altamont believes and it is a proven fact. We look to see if the cows are feeding when we are on our way to fish Normandy, Woods, and Tims... if they are up and feedin we catch lots of fish....FA,,,,so, therefore, Doc1 ain't crazy...

I also gotta say that my Grandpaw used to belive in this too. He didnt have a problem catching them when the cows were feeling.

My grandpa believed if the hoot owls were active (hooting) after dark or before daylight the fish would be active. Same thing for the feeding cows.

Everyone knows about wind direction.

West = best
East = least
South = gotta throw in their mouth
North = too cold to fish

Gotta love the old timers.
