Pointer 78 - 8/22/2008 10:57 PM I was preparing to go out with Flip last Saturday night. The boat's in the garage and I'm needing my needle nose pliers. I can't quite reach them so I jump up while lunging for them and come down hard on my stomach on the edge of the boat.. Felt a quick stabbing pain but no big deal because it dissapates quickly. Hit the water that night with Flip. The next day, I can't seem to get warm. Stay under the covers most of the day taking in the Olympics. By 11:00 p.m. Sunday night, the pain starts encompassing my entire trunk. The pain worsens overnight and by 6:00 a.m. my wife is calling an ambulance. They dope me up for 2 days while running tests. A CT Scan confirms the fact that there is a fair amount of blood in my abdomen. A surgeon is called and I'm fearing a quick date with a scalpel. My doctor and the surgeon decide that I'm no longer leaking blood but that my gall bladder must come out. Since I'm feeling better with no more dizziness, nausea, chills, or pain, I can make an appointment next week to have the deed done. I'll go under the knife next Friday. Thanks to Flip for calling me several times a day to check up on me. And Chris......I knew what you meant with your question.
