Hey guys,
It occured to me this morning when I was posting about our local bodybuilding show; "Battle on the River" here in Chattanooga, that a lot of folks out there might be in need of instruction in the gym. I am a certified personal trainer, certified by the American College of Sports Medicine and the International Fitness Association. I usually give out free assesments and a free workout to potential clients. Since I am on the forum and I benefit from all the information I'll be happy to help anyone trying to get into a good exercise program and it won't cost a dime. Pm me if you want to set up a program.

I could use an exercise program. There would have to be a few rules though. I do not want to sweat, be short of breath, or exert any strenuous effort. It would be preferable if my program could be done during my sleeping hours while I'm in lala land snoring away! :)

I'm too old to go through all the pain of doing it the old fashion way! It's the 21st century ... no pain no gain needs to find a new home!

TT,
You'd be outta luck with me. Most of my younger guys thrown up at least once a week when I am working them out. A few of my older ladies complained that once they sat down on the toliet they couldn't make it back up without some form of human help.....emoEvil

FF, I could use a program that would help me lose weight. (probably cardio) If you have any suggestions just let me know. I am getting hitched in 3 months and would like to lose a few pounds.
Thanhs,
Bill

FF, The company I work for has an excellent health club and its free of charge. Im going to take advantage of it. havent lifted or had a steady work out program since high school football.

Any suggestions?

Eric

Eric,
The best thing to do is to try and use more free weights than machines, even if you have to use just a small amount of weight to get started. Free weights are about 3 times more effective than cardio for buring fat. To give you an example, if someone is a type II diabetic it can actually help them come off medication. It would be great to acutally see the gym at your work and go from there. I could do an indepth program for you......Terry
