You might try Foodsaver, I bet he could hook you up with some, he lives over there too. But remember that since it is a native fish, it can not be sold without a license. I am sure Craig will work something out for you though. There is still some below the dams, not real plentiful, but catchable. There has also been some at the Nuke discharge area if you have a boat.

Skipjack are a large herring that is found in the TN river system, and I am sure others as well. Small ones can be used whole for very large catfish, or rockfish. Most folks cut them into "steaks" for catfish bait.

I have a license spur emoPoke. All kidding aside the only person I won't stock up on skipjack is ericm and thats only because I don't think you could catch enough skipjack to keep him stocked. You guys figure we have another month or month in a half before they are down there thick?

Minner and I have more skipjack than we know what to do with.

Come down to Guntersville Dam with us in April and we'll send you home with 100 lbs.

Spur likes to taste them for quality before using. Just like sampling grapes at wallyworld. He sells the good ones like in the picture to the sushi restaurants in chatt.

If you go and fish with brandon and minner make darn sure you watch out for the patent pending skipjack flip. Its quite a sight to see from what I have heard!
