Would like to buy two 14 inch trailer tires. The more tread the better but any is better than what I have now. I would also consider tires and wheels in the 15 or 16 inch size as long as the bolt pattern is 5x4.5..... what is on there now is 225/70R14. If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it. I had a man that was gonna give me a couple of his old tires, that were still good when he replaced the others, but I haven't been able to get in touch with him. emoBawl

Guys again, any help would be greatly appreciated. You can IM me on here, email me, or phone (423) 650-5140. If you call and get voice mail, please leave a message. I have a steel roof on my house and it plays havoc with my phone.

Thanks,
Be Well,
Greg

Greg, you didn't say exactly, what you were going to do with the tires but please be careful, putting old ones on a trailer. They have a life that is usually up long before the tread is close, to being worn out. I know finances can tempt us into taking chances but a failed tire on any trailer could be catastrophic and life changing. I'm not the gloom and doomer but know a super nice guy that would like to take back a haul he made....probably 25 years ago.

Well as crazy as it seems, I would probably use the tires on my trailer until I can afford new ones emoScratch. Being permanently disabled, I have a very fixed income emoDoh . I also have a 16 year old that is jumping up and down to go fishing while out of school. As we got ready to go tomorrow I found a small split beginning to develop in the side wall of one. Honestly, I really wish I could just find a cheap set of 15 inch wheels and tires to hold me until I can save for new ones.

I completely understand what your saying though, and I really appreciate the concern. I would not put a tire on my trailer period, without consulting a professional. But thanks again, you never know, there are those that replace all 4 tires on their trailer, when maybe only two need it. And maybe one of those people will see this and help me out. When it does come to pulling the boat, I am one of those that NEVER gets above 40-45mph while towing. Just a habit I have had for a very long time.

Again, if someone has some tires, or, tires and wheels, that are still in pretty good shape let me know. I appreciate it!

Be Well
Greg
