Putting a watergarden where our tree used to be and looking for a good size liner or preformed tank ( or whatever you call them)
The hole is about 9'x 8' and maybe 3' deep.
Probably need a 15' sq liner (or even rubber roofing material) or a 2 to 300 gal preformed pond. Need a pump too.
Needs to be able to hold 6 - 8 lb bass for about a week. (Just kidding) Serious about the pond stuff though.

Rubber roofing works great. Here is a web site with some good cheap ideas well as good tips.

Harbor Freight has some several sizes of pumps </p>

If you're nine feet wide and three feet deep you need at least 19 feet of material.

Having been a professional for over 25 yrs, allow me to say don't buy a cheap pump, they don't last. Buy a quality dirty water pump anda filter or install a skimmer to keep it clean. Rubber roofing will work, but must be allowed to age 6mos or more before you put fish in. Pond liners are treated and can be used right away, once the chlorine has evaporated.

Use underlayment and be careful of poking holes in the liner while working, it really sucks to have a leak after you're all finished, I know...... emoBang

Also The Water Garden in Hixson is an excellent place. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeble and they sell good quality materials.

Lots of fun to do....enjoy

They're easy to disassemble and clean.</div><div align="left"></div><div align="left">Most of us do-it-yourselfers use old carpet for underlayment. Some people use sand and "puddle" it in to fill the voids.</div><div align="left"></div><div align="left">Slope your bottom so it is easy to clean
