Proud new owner of a Springfield Amory XD-9 Extreme Duty 9mm Pistol!

Ive done a lot of homework looking at what I wanted and this gun just fit me better all the way around. Locally, I couldn't find a good deal for nothing...Online, same thing. Unless its a rare find, I could have purchased it cheap online yet it would have cost me more in the end with shipping and FFL. I did go to Carters on 58 and the owner had me sold for 460 on the "kit" package. Came with holster, speed loader and 2 magazine clip holsters. After looking online, I thought that wasn't bad and "WOULD" have bought it..and..actually turned the truck around to go get it! Walked back in and he got the pistol out...got the box...opened the box and had a funny look on his face. Snuck off to talk to I guess his wife??? Came back and said he was mistaken and it didn't come with all that! Had me sold with a good sales pitch then backed out. Total BS...Since he talked the talked,They should have walked the walk...Know what I mean? His offer for 455 and a nice T Shirt didnt impress me either.

Bentons Shooters Supply won the sale! Had to go to Cleveland anyway so I took the Father In Law with me. (He's a pistol fanatic!) 439.00 Cash and of course a free T Shirt (He got a T shirt one too. :) )Everyone else had this gun for 460-480 and at least 500 for the holster kit one. Which that kit is junk. Its not Springfield's standard holster and clip accessories so beware when buying it!

Ran alittie over 150 rounds through it yesterday with 3 other people trying it out too. Shot right with anything they had and actually has my Glock/Sig loving Father in Law, wanting one now.

Im happy with the purchase and glad I went to Bentons....

When will people learn that service and a good attitude will bring you more success than money grubbing over a few dollers. I had a similar experience at Carters'. I don't even bother checking with them anymore if I'm going to buy a gun. I don't go in there at all, that guy took customer service lessons from the drivers license office. emoTskTsk

Been to Carter's several times. Tried to do business there more than once. I was obviously bothering the owner/mgr or whatever the guy is by asking more than 2 questions. I just don't understand how a person expects to get repeat customers by being a jackass much of the time. I will never make another visit there unless it changes ownership.
