Well I hosted the third annual Chickamauga Bowfishing Classic sat night out of chester frost.


We had 17 teams which may not seem that much compared to bass TX's but thats a great turnout for a bowfishing tournament.

We had some people from all over show from SC NC AL GA TN KY VA

My team started off in the Wolf with little luck. Boated about 10 Common Carp there and missed a Torpedo Grass Carp that shot out of some weeds.

We moved on up river to shoot a couple small islands and got on the fish there BIG TIME!!! We circled the island about 30 times or more and everytime we got bigger fish one 37 lber and two 33 lbers

Ended the night in chester frost with a couple smaller fish in the 15 lb range and pulled out to set up the weigh in and get the fish truck parked.

431 lbs won the tournament out of 20 fish good for $1200

388.5 lbs was second good for $700

My team came in third with 384 lbs good for a $300 Check

Only if the grassie didnt get away or a buffalo we missed at the end we would have been $400 more richer
