I am looking at buying a 2000 G3 with a Yamaha VMAX and I noticed that oil is slowing leaking out around one of the spark plugs. I am new to boats and was curious to see if this was normal or if there is a major problem with the motor that I should stay away from? Any suggestions or advise would be great.

I would say the sparkplugs wasn't tightened enough, I had that problem when I bought my vmax 150 when it was new.

Ya,i would say just tighten the sparkplugs,you probably need new ones now.what have you been mixing your oil ratio too?if you mix your oil
I do not mix the oil. It is auto inject right now. I looked at the plugs and the one that is leaking is different than the other 5. Don't know why it is different, but it is. I am going to get a plug and then run it this weekend and see if it is still leaking. Hopefully that will be the fix.
