Yamalube or Pennzoil Marine® Full Synthetic 2-Cycle Oil in my 04 200Vmax ?

What do you guys think about this ?

If I decide to do this do I run my tank low and then add the Penns or run it completely out and then add it ?

RE: Yamalube or Pennzoil Marine? Full Synthetic ????

Either one will work fine. Jay Smith over on BBC says Pennzoil full synthetic is good oil. I have a 225 pro XS mercury and I have been reluctant to use anything other than Mercury Premium plus but I am probably just being stubborn. No need to run your tank empty. Just get it pretty low and then fill with the new oil.

Yamaha Lube for me but I have a spare gallon of Pennzoil. Would using a different oil void a warranty?

I read somewhere else that Yammalube is made by Citgo, the Vennezuelan government owned oil company. Which Venezuela's government is very anti-American so they'll never see a red cent of my $$. That's why B.A.S.S. dropped them from being a sponsor. So if they were the last oil on earth I believe I would use olive oil. Something to think about where your $$ is going to and who's getting it.

LOL! Your right but what isnt imported now a days? Sad isnt it..

Even if they "seem" to be a friend now...keep donating money to those people and see what happens one day. Of course it may not be in our life time before Walchindia takes over

I've been around Pennzoil products all my career and have never heard or seen any negative issues. Mechanics are like any one else, they have their personal preferences, whether it's Quicksilver, Yamalube, Super Tech, or Pennzoil. It just depends on who you ask.

Use an oil that meets the manufacturer's requirements for that year model and type, and your wallet. If you go synthetic, it mixes with non synthetic, but I would still run the oil tank low and then make the switch.
