my regular gas station has made the change over. ive pretty much given up on keeping it out of my truck. but my outboard and lawnmowers im trying to hold out a lil longer. i have found a station in east ridge, that has a seperate pup that is marked no ethanol, however its only regular unleaded. guy behind the counter said put octane booster. but im kinda leary about it.

so which is worse? e-10 high test or 100% regular? with or without octane boost?

As a side note, if it were all up to me. when you pull up to the gas pump you would be able to select whats in your fuel at the pump and the price would change accordingly depending on you selections. for example if your truck is a newer one and can run e85 and thats what you want, the pump mixes it right there. then if you want 100% 93 for your boat then you get that. if you want e-10 or e15 b/c its a lil cheaper then you can get that. it would take a lil bit of work as far as infrastructure but its got to much easier than running all of these older cars on crap they weren't designed to.... stepping off soapbox now.

Years ago, and I can't remember which type of stations, maybe Phillips 66, had selector knobs at the pumps.

There isn't any gas with ethanol that is good. Ethanol just causes too many problems. I just bought a new weed eater and in the owners manual it says " do NOT use ethanol ".

fill up with what your use for the day, dont store fuel in your tank,,,if you have to,, use ethanol treatment,i been doing it for several years, with no major problems except i had to change fuel line from bulb to engine this past year,,,,,,,,,,
