You Want to Be Famous? - Join an impromptu "catfishing party"

OK, on Sunday (May 20) I'm taking an outdoor writer friend of mine from Middle Tennessee catfishing. I got to thinking (sadly, I am prone to do that on occasion), and I thought that since some of you might be out there anyway, perhaps we hold sort of an impromptu "catfishing party" in the Nuke Plant area. No formal gatherings or weigh-ins or anything like that, but if anybody tags a big fish (we'll say 20 lbs. and up), call me on the cell phone and we'll come find you for my outdoor writer buddy to take pictures. Obviously I want to promote the guide business, but I am just as interested in promoting our GREAT fishery, and/or CFF. In other words, I'd love to show him some big fish and I don't care if we catch 'em or somebody else does! If you think you can come, send me a PM and I'll respond with my cell phone number. Nobody is committed and it's no big deal if you change your mind or back out... I'd just like to up the odds on coming up with a "picture fish." BTW, if anybody in the nearby Nuke Plant area tags a big bass on Sunday, I bet we'd shoot pictures of that too. emoBigsmile

I sure wish I could make the cat party but I'll probably be late...I'm playin at the StageCoach Jam late Saturday night and won't be able to get out on the lake until late Sunday. Hope ya'll have a great trip and I hope to read about the big nuke party in an article somewhere!

We'll probably get out there around 7'ish and we'll let the fish decide how long we'll stay. I suspect until Noon at least... maybe more, maybe less. If/when cats slow down we might go check on some bluegill.

I had planned to NOT fish this weekend. However I read Cheez's thread where he is desperately needing Blue Cats for the church fish fry that he is obligated to do this coming weekend. I will be there bumming blue cats from 4 to 10 lbs for Cheez. If you have any that you are willing to share, Just give me a shout. I will be in a white ProLine Bay Saltwater boat.
