Where will tomorrow's anglers come from? It's a question that the Chattanooga Bass Association has thought long and hard about for years.

The Chattanooga Bass Association, Chattanooga's oldest and largest non-professional team bass-fishing tournament has come up with what they feel is the answer.

At the start of their 2010 season a youth division was added to their format for the very first time in an effort to add new blood and give young anglers the opportunity to get involved in the sport of tournament bass fishing.

This is something I'm considering doing with my 12 yr old. After having my older kid play stick and ball sports throughout high school with not much to show for it, I want to find something Davis and I can do. Just not sure if we can compete but with Dusty Elrod helping us we can't go wrong

Getting a kid involved in fishing should be something every parent should try. For those parents who also enjoy fishing tournaments, this format provides an affordable opportunity to spend quality time together with your son or daughter on the water.

You're right on the money! emoThumbsup I think that any outdoor activity should be encouraged by our schools.
Anything to get their faces out of electronic "devices"
