Hey guys,
Thinking about being "sick" and missing work one day this week and really hoping to get into some frog fishing. I haven't hardly made a cast this fall and am stuck on where I want to go. If you guys could pick, would you go to Chick or G-ville right now for the best chance of a decent frog bite? Just curious for those of you have more time than myself to get out and fish this fall.

Thanks guys!

Triton20xHarris - 10/19/2015 4:58 PMEither one will be tough unless you find a mat that hasn't been hammered, and thats not gonna happen.
With the water dropping on Chickamauga there will be new mats everyday for a while.

Question number 2... If you had the choice between going this week or next, what you choose? Would you expect the bite improve into next week or do I need to get out there now and get after them? Thoughts?

With us getting some actual stable weather this week , I would think by Thursday the bite will be killer again .

The bite was not on yesterday me and a buddy went out and didn't get a single hit on a frog and every mat we came across had been hammered to death.

Well, the wife made at least one decision for me today. Looks like I won't be fishing till either next Monday or Tuesday, apparently we are "just too busy this week" for me to disappear for a day.... Lol. When I go next week if I do anything worthy of a report, I'll share. I wish I could contribute more to CFF, but living an hour plus away from the lake and having little to no time to fish as it is, limits my ability to do much. So... I pretty much live through what you guys post, so keep them coming!!! If anybody gets on them over the next few days/weekend, please post!!!

Thanks guys

Went to G ville today, over 3\4 of the grass that was a mat is under water now!

Dang! I wouldn't have guessed that would have been an issue out there right now. I guess it's good I don't get to go till next week! How did you end up doing with the water up?
Thanks for the info.

Alright guys, here's the deal. I do have a pass to fish tomorrow if I want. So the question is this, would go tomorrow and possibly get wet or wait and try again another time for a frog bite? For those of you that are on Chick a lot, what kind of frog bite do you typically see this kind of year when we get hit with rain like we are now? I really want to go but don't want to burn a fishing pass if I'm more than likely not going to see much froggin' action!!!
Thanks guys

My last three trips out I have thrown a frog until my arms fell off without a single fish in the boat. Had a few blow ups but that's it. Every fish I caught was outside the grass on a spook or a spinner bait.

The grass seems so beat up from hundreds of boats plowing through it I kind of doubt the frog bite is going to be very good the rest of the season. Who knows though... Saturday every mat looked like a parking lot... 5 boats on every spot it seemed. I just loaded my boat up after a couple of hours and went home.

Frog bite was great yesterday and today . Quality has been good too . The later into the fall , I've always found the frog bite to be better on the cloudy/rainy days . The bites have been explosive the last two days .

Thanks for the info guys. I got up today and wind was kicking at around 15-20mph, 45 degrees, and still raining so I ended up heading to work.... I can do rain and a little cold but the wind turned me off. Probably should have gone but oh well... I'm going to keep an eye on the weather and try again asap. Thanks for keeping me updated about what's going on up there!
