Love it!! That is exatcly what we (y'all) will be getting I'll keep the V.A. and local herb garden.
"Lifes Healing Herbs", by Castleman," New Choices in Natural Healing", "Magic & Medicene of Plants". The Readings of Edgar Caycee,
(ARE) Association of Reaserch & Enlightment, VA Beach,VA.
Daughter said she had to hire another girl in their office , just to handle all the extra paper work the government has stipulated for them. Guess the Stimulous Plan is working. Somebody has to pay for this,,,,errr,,ahhh, can you say customer/purchaser.

Isn't the VA Government ran Healthcare..... hmmmmmmmm.

Have any of you applied for VA benefits? The only way you and I can get anything there is if you qualify for Tenn Care or some other form of welfare. Veterans are "means tested" to determine if they are poor enough to qualify for benefits. Any veteran testing much above the poverty level does not qualify for anything at all, regardless of anything else. So, the VA is essentially a safety net for veterans who are down and out. By the way, the care is rock bottom. Their medical care will kill you. After all, few things are more dangerous than a lousy doctor. Kinda like french kissing a king cobra.

I am grateful that I made good choices that enabled me to earn a decent living while planning for the future. This way, I was not gonna be dependent on anyone else during my old age. It's the grasshopper and ant story all over again, is it not?

Socialists/communists want you and I to be totally dependent on the government. That way, they can take all your money and give it to those too lazy to work, too sorry to get an education, or those who snuck across the border for benefits paid by taxpayers. Socialists/communists have hijacked the entire Democrat party and much of the Republican party. For instance, McCain is a Democrat in a Republican suit. The rest of us better wake up and vote the bastards out of office in November. I suggest you guys stop the Democrat - Republican crapola and vote for the men and women who will support the constitution. That's all it takes guys. So, unless you're a self avowed socialist or communist, get on the stick and vote for the person, not the party.

Spnplgr I don't know where you got your info on VA health care but you are dead wrong about them. If It is for down and out veterans then I dam sure slipped through the cracks. I have received some of the best health care in the system then I would have from a local hospital. I can prove this also. As for hand outs from the VA I don't consider it hand outs . after all it was a service connected problem That caused it while doing my duty.

As for VA health care, it's great. Treat you with respect, listen and the test they do are extensive.
To qualify you have to make LESS than $31,500 per year. Now if you don't qualify, then you should have enough $$ to pay for YOUR OWN health services.
The VA health care system was set up for Veterans, and until 2006, ANY VET recieved free health care, but now there are So many, they had to put a cap on it, which I think is fair. Some Vets are down & out, some are wealthy, some are average, in comes the cap on earnings.
So whats your problem?? As far as governemnt health care, yes the VA is, but just wait till it gets in your Private doctors office, you're going to see a major dissaster.

Who support the constitution? Why don't you give us an example?

Saying that the Veterans Hospital & health care is government health care, is like saying Arlington Cemetary is a government burying place. Unless you been there, military or Arlington, you just don't get it, and you probably don't.
You have a co-pay at a Veterans clinic for care & meds, depending on your catagory, 1-4.
When you join the military, the benefits are spelled out when you sign up, and if you stay for 20+ years, you get even more bennies.
Unless Outcaster is self employed, you get what you work for, and if you work for a company, then check your bennies, you may need them one day.
'nuff said.

VA is not government health care as pertaing to Obama's Health care plan that he & they are forcing on the American People.
I don't think I will get "fined" for not take advantage of VA benefits. First house was through VA, college was through VA. It's voluntary, like when I joined the service.
Ponit/counter point?

VA is voluntary just like all the other health care options (employ sponsored or privately bought). No fines for those other choices.

So Eyeman, what healthcare do you have? I took my daughter to the doc to have scope done. I have blue cross, my bill was $1200 before I left. To me that should have paid for it, a 45 min. procedure. It is real nice how we pay all this money for insurance and basically still flip the bill. I guess I am suppose to be happy about that, take up for insurance companies, blame the government.

Yeah man I can't believe that Doc was scamming you for all that money. Ya know he makes all this money and didn't have to go or pay anything for 10 years of higher education to become a doc. That scoping device is probably a drop in the bucket too ya know 10 to 15 bucks probably. Those meds that were administered the doc got those basically for free. And he probably doesn't pay any of his staff anything or cover their insurance or pay any liability insurance. We need to do something about all these thieves that call themselves doctors. Maybe we can get the Gov't involved we know they have a good history of being able to decrease costs.... emoHoppingmad emoHoppingmad

I agree 100 percent with Sniper...you are not paying for the 15 minutes you were there..you are paying for all the technology and intelligence of that doctor. Should it be more affordable...I wish it were. Should the insurance companies pay more of that 1200 bucks?? I would like to see them do that as well. Will the government taking over the insurance companies fix that...if you beleive that.....well...I just hope you dont belive that!!!

I think you guys missed my main point, I had to pay 1200 dollars even though I am suppose to have good insurance. The people that don't work can go get same thing without paying a dime. I agree with you guys about health care not being cheap, but alot of it comes from jacked up prices to make up for those that do not pay.
I am not saying we need a complete overhaul of medical care. With cost spiraling out of control, something needs to be done or we are not going to be able to afford to live here.

When my wife & I were self employed,,,,owned a business, we paid $1375.00 PER MONTH for health insurance...now you can put this in your pipe and smoke it or somewhere else.
Just wonder how much you pay?? now?
Not a lot of self employed people can afford this, but you do what you have to do. Do you realize that the monthly insurance payment we were paying was higher than my mortage. Some people will pay an insurance premium for all their toys, home and vehicles, but gripe like he-- when it comes to their selves.
If Obama is the answer, then what ws the Stupid question?
