Me & Bbdown have been hard at work mowing and setting stands in Mid-Tn for the kids to mow down some deer. Its in Unit L so its three does and a buck a day. Three kids hunting Saturday, sowe hope to have 12 on the ground before the day is out! emoLaugh

emoThumbsup Good luck!!

I've had the opportunity to take my daughter a few times Bow hunting with me this year. It is always a joy to hunt or fish with the kids!
Ashley is a little small and timid to shoot a 243 but I believe next year will be the year and following right behind her will be the little man...Dylan.
Wish ya'll luck!

Sadly, my sons youth hunting days are behind him now. This will be my first year since 99' that I don't have a kid of my own to take.

I'll be in Bradley Co Sat morning then Lincoln Co Sunday with the grandson. He has a football game Sat afternoon at Midway.

I only haveone more seasons after this one myself, will look at being a mentor to someone else's youth I guess after that. I bet there are some guys on here with kids that would love to go, but dont have the tools, and or place to go. If you would be willing, make a post looking for a kid, with or without a parent,to take out. I dont know about the rest, but since mine have been hunting for themselves, I get more joy out of them be successful than Iever did myself. </p>

Got my two neighbor boys all fired up to go Sat. Had a time with it last year...with their Mom. She wanted them to go Trick or Treating. They wanted to go hunting....they went hunting. I told her..."time to cut the cord". LOL emoLaugh

My son is 9 and this is the first year he has wanted to go . I have 40 acres here we went and just sat in the woods the other evening and saw 6 . I let him pick out which one he wanted if it comes through Saturday morning its bad news for it . I don't know who is more excited me or him lol

I have a couple of boys that have been slinging arrows at them for a month with my youngest Bryse (just turned 7) connecting with a 6 pt. already. They are ready to let some lead fly now!! I can't wait! emoDance

Both my boys hunted saturday morning, but that is the only time we got in the woods. My youngest one Bryse took his second deer this year and Riley did not see anything. Bryse could have shot another one after he shot the doe, but it was a small button buck and I told him to let it go (hoping it would make its way over to Riley). It hung around for about 15 minutes and finally left (going to wrong way). It was 10:30 when he shot this doe. He was proud of his deer and said he was glad we let the little one go.
