I was wondering if anyone was using the new Zoom hook for the toad. I bought some last weekend and will get to go this evening to try them. Does anyone have any opinions. I will get back with I think.

If you are speaking of the two red hooks with the screws on them, they aren't that new. Now, if I am missing something, and there are new hooks, please forgive me.

They were designed for the toad, and I believe that they do the best job. You can get some other hooks that will work, but the hook for the Toad is the best, I feel.

I have to agree, I was using just normal hooks and then some that have a barbed prong and had terrible hook up ratio. I switched over to the Zoom Horny Toad Hooks and now catch almost every one that hits.

They are great. Your toad wont spin with them like with other hooks. There big, strong hooks too. The best thing is that you dont go through nearly as many toads in a day.

I don't particularly care for the Horny Toads myself but will use them if I have nothing better to throw. The Zoom hooks work very, very well with all topwater frogs. I wish they had a bit bigger size for my Bull Ribbits. Flip is correct. The hook up ratio is great with those things.

Yep, I like the Ribbit frog too. Its bigger and throws alot of water and noise. It works great with the mentioned hooks too.

I tried some with some 4.5" Sizmic Toads and wasn't impressed, however, I did like the fact that I didnt have to mess with the toad after every cast. These are the 5/0 and they seem too big for the Sizmic Toad. I have some 4/0's coming that are Sizmic brand.

They may not be new, just the first time I've seen them. I used it all evening yesterday and was impressed. I think there alot better than a normal hook. Just my luck I did'nt get to see about the hook ratio,But hey that fishing.Overall I think it's and awesome hook. Also I bought these at the Sportmans Warehouse for a 1.39 a pack. Thats the cheapest I've found them.
