Put in at Sullivan’s early am to fish the Gorge. Water is high and there’s a fair amount of current and debris. It wouldn’t be hard to sacrifice a prop or lower unit. My buddy’s just starting to bass fish and after a couple of hours of cycling through baits, we got him a couple of bass on a...

Fished afternoon/evening out of Sullivan’s had some bites with tiny spots in the afternoon. Fish seem to turn on with cooling temps in the eve. Larger fish started biting the closer it got to sunset. They were hitting weightless worms and a spinnerbait. Some spots were keepers, but barely...

I'm sure you weren't intending to celebrate the tragic death of someone created in God's image or compare people living in the "hood" with rats?

I assume Vincent Road is open too, since it is TWRA?

That means outdoors activities such as hunting, fishing, trail use, boating, and paddling can still be enjoyed by all...

    Boat Ramp Status

The ramp was open yesterday, but all the park area was closed. Also, Erwin has a ramp. I wonder if marinas might want to make a little cash for ramp fees?

    What ramps are still open???

The shut ramps I know of are Booker T, HBSP, Wolftever, Riverpark and the tiny ramp just under the dam. The dam is open and full. I don't think the pleasure boaters are going to use many of the little TWRA ramps. Less pressure for the committed. Dayton is open! It's a city ramp and the peeps at...

Shelter in Place issued for city of Chatt. Will be interesting if Hamilton Co follows.

Re: Shelter in Place issued for city of Chatt. Will be interesting if Hamilton Co follows. Traveling to an essential activity is permitted just like traveling to an essential place of work is permitted. We can fish as long as we follow the other social distancing orders. Sunlight and fresh...

Boat ramps really ARE being closed.....................................................

Re: Boat ramps really ARE being closed..................................................... TVA is closing ramps but TWRA is not. Bill Lee designated outdoor recreation as an essential activity in his Executive order. The Feds have no authority to close state waters without congressional action.

Glenn, I think it was 59, but I didn’t pay much attention. Didn’t feel very cold when I stood in it. Cold have been warmer. It is definitely warming. SoddyDaddy, it was way heavier than normal, which is to say it still wasn’t very bad. I’m guessing further towards the Dam on the other side of...

Put in at Sullivan’s and took off at 7:15. River was muddy with quite a bit of current. Some debris in water, but not too bad. Late morning the wind kicked up out of the west blowing against the current. I caught a single 13” LM in about 3’ of water with a brightly colored Chatterbait. Had three...
