Just a FYI for anyone scheduling tournaments out of Chester frost this October, the drag boat races that were normally held at Marion County park on Nickajack have decided to have the races at Chester Frost this year, Im sure the ramp and most of the water in the area of the ramp will be closed to the public.

Its not a rumor, They made the announcement on their Facebook page. Here is what they posted:

"Odba is proud to release our new World Championship race Oct 2nd and 3rd with test and tune on Friday Oct 1st. It will be held at Chester Frost park in Hamelton County Tn. The name of the race will be called 1st annual ODBA Chester Frost world championship Presented by Chattanooga Sports. The ODBA would like to thank Tom Lamb at the Chester frost park. Also we would like to thank Timothy Morgan and his team Marissa and Malik with Chattanooga sports for help making this event happen. A big thanks to Steve Baker, Bobby Rodgers and Bill Eaves for there help as well. Ill be putting hotel info on our FB as soon as I get it. Once again a big thanks to Timothy Morgan and team for all the hard work."

It will be interesting to see if this lamb guy will have the dock and ramp fixed for the TV world. If not, I hope the TV crew highlights the shoddy conditions at Hamilton County's premier outdoor facility.

I thought the race was broadcast every year, tape delayed for a later date showing. Too bad county admins aren't thoroughly embarrassed over the shape of the dock. Good riddance to lame duck coppinger. I just really hope it's true as we don't need for more years of that clown!

Just drove through park this morning. The ramp is definitely closed this weekend. Bunch of tents, enclosed trailers and alot of fast looking boats in parking lot.
