11 month old nephew needs a lot of prayers!

Hey y'all,

I haven't posted in a while due to new house and job.
I'm asking for a favor and I know this group can deliver.
My nephew is suffering from meningitis. He turns 1 in 2 weeks. He's a fighter, but he needs all of our help! He's in Atlanta and in good care, but is not showing improvement.
I finally got a chance to talk to my brother and he's devastated along with the rest of our family.
Any positive thoughts and prayers would be greatly appreciated.

Just got a text from my brother...they're taking him in for an MRI. Good chance there's brain damage. Minimum 3 weeks in hospital.

We had a friend who had a little older child in her family with meningitis It was very difficult for quite a while, but with a lot of people praying for healing he eventually turned the corner. Now is having to re-learn some of the functions that were lost due to the disease. He is progressing well and has a bright future. We will of course pray for your nephew and all the family. We know that prayer works and we just have to trust in God. Thank you for calling on us during this difficult time.

Prayers sent! God is in control......Short Story.. A friend of mine in school was diagnosed with it in Kindergarden. Doctors said he had brain damage and if he pulled through he wouldn't live past early 20's. He is now 31 and is a strong man/boxer/welder/equipment operator/married with kids/etc. Tell everyone to keep their head up! Only God knows!

My family appreciates it! They changed the diagnosis to encephalitis. 1 in 500,000 get it. The dr's confirmed there is damage to the right temporal lobe in his brain. He's still not out of the woods yet. 3 week minimum stay in the hospital. He'll spend his first birthday there on July 16th.

Just got an update...the swelling on the brain is going down, but the lil guy has a fever still. They have him on a lot of meds. They will start therapy tomorrow for the brain damage.
Thanks for all of the prayers! I'm passing them on to the family. My brother is not surprised that so many outdoorsmans are their to help. He's very appreciative!
