Father God, I bring this little guy to you today and knowing nothing catches you by surprise and you already love him more than we can imagine. However you tell us in your holy word to place all our cares and burdens on you. I pray for the medical personnel attending to him that they will have the wisdom to make right decisions and for each doctor to make right decisions concerning his care. God, I pray for complete healing and I pray in the name of your son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

I'm in Atlanta at the children's hospital with my nephew. He's still fighting this very tough virus. We got him smiling and eating. He's got a long way to go. My brother is overwhelmed by the outpouring of support. Thank you all very much and I'll keep you posted!

Thanks everyone. He got better today and will get better tomorrow. That is our motto. He had a good PT session and ate like a horse. Fever is still a little problem, but he's giving it all he's got.
We appreciate what you all are doing and the entire staff at All Children's hospital in Atlanta!

It's been one week since my nephew was admitted to the hospital. The last week has been a roller coaster of emotions for the family, but especially that little guy. He's a fighter no doubt. He pulled himself up the other day in the crib in his hospital room. That's huge because just a week ago, he couldn't move. Heck, on Saturday, he could barely hold his head up. They will still be in the hospital for at least 2 more weeks. He'll need years of therapy and anti-seizure medicine, but much better than what was the expected out come last week. My family appreciates all of the thoughts and prayers. His first birthday is a week from today. I'm hoping this time next year I can get him out on the lake to catch some chunkers. Thanks again and keep the prayers coming please!

My nephew will be heading home today! He's been in the hospital since 7/2. There is no trace of the virus in his system. He still has to take medication and will see a slough of specialists and therapists, but that's ok.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. My family greatly appreciates it!

emoAngel .........prayers work. Thanks for the good news. Will still keep the little fellow in my prayers.
