Has anyone purchased any new lures that have came out for 2008? I am going to BPS on Saturday and plan to get some of the new SUBWALK lures that Rapala came out with. Also has anyone tried one of those "hybrid" blade spinnerbait/buzzbait that Terminator lures came out with? I seen them on Cabelas website.

I got some Sexy Shad Strikeking cranks and have been doing pretty good on the series 3. I just ordered some of the new 3" Chigger craws and I just got some of the new 4" Glup power minnows. Gonna be a good year.

Hey Whiskers, where did you find the Sexy Shad pattern? That looks like a great one for the Chick. I would really like to get the series 6.

I picked up several of the SK Sexy Shad cranks at BPS in Nashville a couple of weeks ago. They had plenty of series 1xs - 6 and the traps to. Cranks were $3.79 that day and traps were $4.89. I've been watching for them locally but haven't seen them anywhere yet.

Luck E Strike Bass Magic swimbaits were in stock too and look pretty good.

I got mine from Ebay a couple of week ago. Looks like BassPro has some in stock right now and I just ordered some series 1 and 3 yesterday from them.

Has any one tried the Strike King Rage Tail or Rage Shad's yet?
I keep hearing about them in different places but haven't picked any up yet.
Just wondering if anyone here might have tried the Frogs (Rage Tail) or Shad?

If your talking about to catch skipjack, try a 1/8th white head & pink hair jig, or vic versa. Pink head with white hair. Like below the local dams.

I was really dissapointed with the eyes on the sexy shad series six crankbait I used down on guntersville. The eye came off after one little fish :( I am going to send an email to strike king about it and ask why such shoddy workmanship.

I am looking for Bait for skipjack

Try shad darts and shad spoons. Cabelas has darts on sale. Another source is woo's shad (woofish.com or shadspoon.com)

The Rage Tail baits are terrific. The Rage Shad is unbelievable and the fish whack on it. Here in Texas, the fish are hit'em real good. Like the variety of speeds you can run them and they move alot of water.

Just to give everyone an up date on the BPS trip. It was kind of a disappointment this year. It use to be this big blow out thing not as big this year. I did get some of the new sexy shad strike king. They didn't have any of those new subwalks by Rapala I guess I will order them. Is it just me or does the paint jobs on those new Strike kings like kinda cheap? If anyone is going on Sunday, KVD, Boyd Duckett and Ish Monroe will be there.

I just got back a little while ago. The sale wasn't as good this year as ones in the past. It was wall to wall people. I guess most, including me, came to see KVD. I waited around till 1 o'clock to watch his seminar and maybe get an autograph. 1:15 and still no KVD. A little later some guy said he had left around 1 to catch his airplane. He was only there from 10 am to 1 pm. Wish I had known and I guess all the others gathered around the aquarium probably would have liked to have known. emoScratch

The SK cranks do look a little cheap but KVD sure has made a ton of money using them.

BPS seems to be slower about getting new lures in. I made 3 trips last year looking for the Snag Proof bass grabber jigs. RJS finally made me some to try. Other than items no one else has, I've started doing most of my shopping locally. BPS is higher on a lot of lures than some of the locals.
