2009 Fishin' Goals

Chattanooga Fishing Forum

Help Support Chattanooga Fishing Forum:

My goal is to first..make sure I keep a job to keep the boat. After that, I'll just follow EricM around :)

1. To help MrWiskers catch more than 200 bass in a day.

2. To learn as much as I can from others that I fish with about fishing and life and to pass it on to others that I get to fish with.

3. To break the world line class record for flathead catfish on 2lb test (oldie but goodie) if I ever take the time to do it.

I hear ya brother .. here is to all of us keeping our jobs emoToast and that gas prices stay under 2 bucks a gallon for at least another year emoToast

My goals are a 7 lb+ smallmouth from Riverpark and putting my son on more fish Learning to use more baits my arsenal is pretty small but I do well with what I use Fishing with some more CFF guys enjoy the fellowship on the forum if anyone ever wants to go chase some smallies give me a shout.. Lastly i wanna make the trip to Holston, Dale Hollow, and Pickwick at least once</p>

Would also like to fish a few tourneys probably as a backseater as my boat is decent but no so sure of tourney worthy..so if anyone ever wants a backseat for the CFF tourneys who will split expenses let me know

Goal # 1 get this baby delivered as healthy as can be!

Fishing Goal #1- enjoy every minute of time on the water!

This year I'd like to learn a little more about the finesse techniques. I always get hung up on big baits and covering water, and I thinks its time I broaden my arsenal to include drop-shots, shakey heads, and other techniques I dont use on a regular basis.

Girl-haven't figured out the name yet. But we are excited and she should be here right around New Year!

My goals are:

To always be thankful that I am blessed to live in a free country, and in a part of the country, where we can get out on the lake and enjoy God's beautiful creations.

To actually get out and fish in 2009 since I hardly wet a hook in 2008.

And if I can get on the lake, to do the opposite of Churly and expand my horizons by learning to use baits and techniques other than finesse.

Churley, I will be glad to help with any questions you have about finesse fishing. I was finesse fishing way before it became so popular.

Fishing goals: Keep my boat running,
buy a trolling motor bigger than my 33lb.
Catch my limit in crappie and bass, not in one day but just sometime throughout the year.
Show Churly how to drop shot and shaky head, and get him to show me big and covering ground, or water.
Tell my regulars they will have to take a number and fish with new people, ,at least 5 people I have never fished with.
figure out how to make a living around fishing, lure design i think.
Give all the glory to God.

2009 Fishing Goals:

Qualify for Tennessee State JR. B.A.S.S & F.L.W Tournaments
Win a Tuesday Night Parksville TX instead of making 2nd place!
Land another 8lb + Parksville hog largemouth
Land another 4lb Parksville spotted bass
Land a 5lb spotted bass
Have a 100+ bass day
Land 15 largemouth in one day at Parksville
Land a Keep Smallmouth at Parksville
Land a 15lb bag on Parksville

Plenty of more! But I think my main goal is to catch a 5lb spotted bass.

I also have a goal to teach fishinvol to actually fish a jig this year. To put it in tight places where it miht actually work, etc.. Of course it would probably be easier to teach my 5 and 7 year old boys:)

I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE BETTER YEAR IN THE CBA'S.MY FIRST YEAR WAS DECENT BUT THE SECOND SUCKED.TO MAKE SURE ABSORB EVERYTHING I CAN.WORK ON GETTEING SOME BETTER ELECTRONICS.WHAT I HAVE IS FINE BUT WHAT THE HECK?CHANGE OUT A FEW RODS AND REELS.MAKE SOME NEW ROCKPILES.HAVE THE STUFF TO DO JUST HAVENT DONE IT.AND KEEP MY JOB SO ALL OF THIS CAN HAPPEN.MAN I LOVE FISHING.I JUST WENT THROUGH THE BOAT OVER THE LAST FEW DAYS AND TOOK EVERYTHING OUT.DOWNSIZED TO WHAT ACTUALLY CATCHES FISH AND NOT FISHERMEN.I SEE ALOT OF PEOPLE SPEND MONEY THAT PRODUCES NO RETURN.BASIC WILL GET YOU FAR.USE WHAT YOU FEEL CATCHES FISH WITH THE SEASON IN MIND.NOW I AM SUPER ORGANIZED EVERYTHING READY.BOAT,TACKLE AND MIND.

I'll fish harder and spend more time trying to pattern fish i personally have a hard time finding and staying on the fish but hopfully i can buy a GPS so nav and work find the fish so i feel more comfortable when fishing TX's

To thank God every day,on or off the water
take my dad fishing one more time

enjoy life even more than I do now

Merry Christmas!

1. Learn to fish a shakeyhead first and foremost (Anyone?)

2. Any size striper, anywhere I can catch one

3. Fish with more CFFers

4. Catch a fish on a plastic craw

And finally I just want to continue building my knowledge up of fishing in general, especially tailwaters of dams, as that's where I do 95% of my fishing.
