The one suggestion I would like to throw out there is the post count to participate be lowered. Our numbers of folks fishing the CFF trail has slowly dropped to the point I feel the 200 required post count be reviewed. I agree with keeping a required post count but it seems there are a lot of newbies that want to fish with us but when they see that they give it up quickly. I would suggest dropping it back down to 100 per boat. emoAngel Jmax
Or could it be one reason the numbers are down is the cff at its prime was fishing tournaments around the region and not just chick and nick ?

You might be right there too. I know the Watt's Bar tournaments never drew a crowd for the CFF, but the G tournaments always had a pretty good showing. You may have another idea there too. I know it got bashed when gas almost hit $4 a gallon but with it under $2 now, something to consider. I still feel the post count has deterred a lot of folks. It is just a suggestion.

CHANGE ENTRY TO PER PERSON AND NOT PER BOAT I do not see a reason why? Almost everyone list a boat fee and not per person. No!

My reasoning was to make it more affordable if somebody
fished alone and you could charge $25 per person and have a little more to pay out

Rod, I fished several Tx's this summer alone and everyone one that I can think of charged a boat fee.

The CFF don't have to follow suit emoIdea emoCool
I'll just say this last thing and then I will leave well enuff alone, lol

I'm on a fixed income and without a partner so I couldn't see fit to pay 40 bucks per tx to fish the last few this year plus the classic which would have been double entry. It was just an idea so I could fish and not break the bank so to speak.

Whatever the committee decides will be fine.. emoUSA

dragfish and I may come out of retirement if you bring back the Guntersville tourny

... so that's the only Tx. you plan to fish? Come on Danny you and Roy can do better than that?

Don't let Danny fool ya. He got married, she put the ring on his finger at the wedding. Then later she took it and put it in his nose with a chain attached. The boy forgot how to fish. emoPoke Jmax

I've been absent a few years now but look forward to next year. Me and my pal Randy plan on fishing the entire year to see how far off the bottom we finish. I like fishing Chickamauga and nickajack and Guntersville only if the majority wants to fish it.
I would like to see more plaques handed out and would be willing to pay more at the beginning of the year to pay for them. I think last time I fished with y'all there was a one time fee of ten bucks. I think as a suggestion bump it to 20 to pay for it. For me the money is nice but IF I win cash wont make it home but a plaque would.
I would like also to see how many would consider a five fish limit?
Best of luck to all
Scott

The CFF has had it both ways with 5 and with 3 fish. It did not seem to make a difference at the scales. For sure for the year. It also helps in keeping the fish alive in the hot months by having only three in your live well. Lastly I feel the three fish limit does allow someone who may not be as competitive to get lucky with a big one and have two little ones that may allow them to win. Just a thought. emoScratch Jmax

I didn't get to fish this year due to the post count then some sickness in family but you are on one of the best bass lakes in the U S so why would you want to go to another lake? I will be driving one hour an twenty minutes to fish it.

For me it's the challenge of a different lake that makes it fun.

I must not be as good at fishing as you guys. I have fished the Chick since 1980 and it is still a challenge. Not only do I have to catch fish but I have to try and beat everyone else that is fishing. Now if you mean a change in scenery is nice from time to time I can agree with that. Guntersville doesnt fish much different if any from Chickamauga but it is an hour and half longer drive for me. But whatever the majority wants to do is fine with me. I do want to be able to drop a tourney or two because I will drop the AL tournaments.

Thanks everyone for their suggestions. We are freezing this thread so the committee can take and go through all the comments.
