Cold this morning! The ramp got rather slickery too! Tim and I blasted off and ran up the river for our first stop. After a long while off throwing two sizes and colors of traps, spinner baits, small swim baits and chatter baits, Tim finally got our first keeper on a chatter bait. We made a move that didn't help at all. Finally about mid morning I got my first bump on a 3/4 oz. red trap. It was a bigg'in! She ran right then left pulling drag and then came straight at us. About half way to the boat she just came unplugged? It hurt my felling bad! We made another move that didn't produce. We moved again. I finally got another bump on the same trap but totally missed the fish? We moved again but no fish. We then moved again farther back down the river. About 12:30 pm Tim sticks our second keeper on a chatter bait. We kept grinding it out alternating baits to no avail. At 1:38 pm I caught our third keeper on a chatter bait. That was it. I had three bites and Tim had two all day. Our three fish was just shy of 12 lbs. and I think we finished 6th. All the bites came in less than 5 fow. Congrats to Mr. and Mr. Thornberry for the win. They had 15 lbs. and change I think it was. After Joe finally got Lance to the right ramp this morning they finished second with 14 lbs. and change and Joe had big fish just over 7 lbs.
