20ga questions

Anyone on the forum use a 20ga for a multi-purpose hunting gun? Looking to use a rifled slug for deer 75yds and in, squirrel, and possibly turkey? It’s for my wife, she’s not too fond of my .270. She wants another option for squirrel hunting (already has a .22 rifle), and is also wanting to take a gobbler.

Not an expert but over the years I’ve loved my 20 gauge. Shoots just as hard as a twelve just fewer pellets.

I do not deer hunt but I coon,rabbit, and squirrel hunt,and love a 20 ga. If your hunting big tall timber use a turkey wad choke and number 6 high brass shot and you can reach out there and get them. Last year my buddy was using a 12 with improved cylinder and couldn't reach a few of the squirrels I was dropping them.
