2pm weigh in?

thank you for taking the time to explain the history behind the 2pm weigh in. it appears the majority of folks prefer it.

asking questions or even challenging the status quo is how things are made better. its very indicative of our current societal state, the responses that came from asking a question/proposing a minor change. simply changing the weigh in time by one hour would NOT have been a fundamental change to the intent/format of the CFF trail.

i enjoy tournament fishing and have met some really good folks through the CFF trail. i did not disparage the tournament committee and maybe one day i'll get a chance to be a part of it.

if the current participants want to fish til 3pm, how hard is that to change?

It's easy. Fish til 3pm, and show up after everyone has left...or start your own tournament trail. Call it Rusty's Tournament Trail.

I was part of the original committee, man I sure do miss those days! Hate we dont see Rob and AL anymore. But anyway, I dont have much of a dog in this race, but I want to remind the 5 people that voted for the 3 pm weigh in that you can fish the CBA or the Catch tx and go till 3 or 4.

I actually pushed for the 2 pm weigh in as I liked having the option of fishing a tournament that allowed me to get home in time on a Saturday to hang out with my kids and wife. The other side of that is that in the summer months 3-4pm is the roughest time on the lake, Its almost impossible to fish open water with the cruiser waves going nuts and its terrible to run in that with fish in the livewell.

Those were the fun days and the Rob I'm thinking of got to share his boat with none other than Kevin Drake as a very young boy at the time. Good Times !

I have never understood why some people seem to want to change things. I could understand if their options are limited. But, that is not the case. You can pick any ramp you want on Saturday morning on Chickamauga and you will be able to fish a tournament. This lake is getting hammered so if you don't like the hours find one you do like. There are people that fish the CFF because it is over at 2 and only has a 3 fish limit. I just wish I was off on more Saturdays.

Believe me when you get in your seventies you will appreciate 2 o’clock weigh in.

Now that’s funny!!!
I just hit 60 and I can already feel it!
