The ACLU was formed in 1931, by communist sympathisers, namely Roger Baldwin.
The ACLU has 34 points in it's agenda, that coincides with 34 points in the Communist Party.
The ACLU will support most anything that will boost their agenda, whether for the good of the party, or for the good of the party.It all boils down to; I'll fight for you, if I can get free Press.
They will sue anyone, business, corporation, county, city, school district,State or the Feds especially if it involves the Constituion of the United States, peoples freedom & rights.
The press builds them up for "fighting for the little man,', but their agneda is Much Deeper.
Don't let a wolf in sheeps wool pull the wool over your eyes.
The ACLU may do good in a few cases, but they are here to help Liberals & Progressives take over the USA by ruining the economy, for that is the USA's strong suit...the economy.
People are now so depndent on the Feds for SO Much, that it is going to be hard pressed to get a vote from the majority of the Working Class to elect officals that are Constitutionalist, (conservitive)
The ACLU has been the cause, directly or indirectly for a lot of you freedom being taken away.

Sure, Me & Roger were big buddies back in 1930-31, he came over to my house and ate "fried chicken" every Sunday, after church.
We would sit by the fire late nights trying to figure out how to re-word the 10 commandments and the Pledge to the Flag. And on weekdays, we would decipher the Consitution and Bill of Rights, just to see how far we could push the freedom of people without the people catching on, till it was too late.
Roger died, but his beliefs still march on, through various agencies & the Mother of all, called the ACLU.
When you see Civil, & Union in the same title, you can bet someone is going to make a lot of money, and it will not be by the hour. When you find a lot of money that is floating around, then you have graft and corruption, then next in lin are the politicians.

Encyclopedia Britanica was way ahead of it time, including the internet. Unfortunately I have the cheaper set of Grolier Encylopedia,which may have been written by a bunch of conservatives back in the 50's.

Only because it is the best way to get inside information. For the most part I am NOT impressed.

What you need to remember is that the ACLU does not do anything. NOTHING. ZIP. NADA. They only approach OUR courts and ask THEM to do something. Everything blamed on the ACLU is actually OUR Courts decrees.

It is the courts/judges that pass down the decrees in response to ACLU lawsuits that affect society.

The political climate that YOU elect into office gives or removes power from the ACLU etc.

One thing you missed or failed to point out. The ACLU loses it's frivolous lawsuits a lot. BUT! The real danger posed by them is that they cost others hundreds of millions of dollars defending themselves. Much of the time the ACLU has no case but small companies and school systems and municipalities will cave in rather than go to the expense to fight them.

I do however totally agree with the VOTE part. We must find a way to remove the liberal judges from their jobs where they are legislating from the bench.

I am a little confused on how you say that the ACLU does nothing..nada...Well in 2005 the ACLU (Orgeon go figure) launched a law suit against the Boy Scouts of America for the promotion of christianity and heterosexuality..I understand that the courts/judges rule. Seems we all know that the ACLU is a bunch of liberals, is it possible the judges are liberal too. Making my own assumptions, not trying to tick anyone off. Feel like the ACLU needs go away like the current administration.

The Wall Street Journal stated in its Nov. 26, 2004 editorial page titled "Bashing the Boy Scouts," that:
"Legal historians may someday explain how the once-great American Civil Liberties Union came to see the Boy Scouts as public enemy number one. In the meantime, the ACLU keeps on bringing its absurd First Amendment challenges against the Scouts....

Sorry I don't feel you on the nada part..I personal feel the country needs more EAGLE SCOUTS than aclu members..just my opinion of course.

I do like the vote, vote, vote....hope we gain America back soon, there are so many things that need to be changed that it makes me feel sick for our childrens future. I do agree the political climate dictates, I hope a new political climate responds by removing powers from the ACLU....

There are way too many suck up people in this country who watch and bitch but will not stand up and fight. The masses of Americans allow this stuff to go every day. I was going to guess 5 percent, But I will push that to much less. I bet that less than one percent of our population are the activist who stir up ninety percent of theridiculousclaims. I have no problem with anyone calling the hand of someone guilty ofdiscriminating. However when a person or group complains of a group like the Boy Scouts of America founding beliefs is way beyond crossing the line. If you do not believe in the BSA creed, "Don't join". Join a cult of yourchoice. There are many of them to go around and no one is bitching to ban them. You may think you have the right to gripe about public funding. Not even a drop in the bucket compared to the other things that our tax dollars fund that I do not agree with.</p>

It all reminds me of that old geezer who lives down on the corner who yells at the neighborhood kids when their ball rolls onto his lawn.</p>

I agree, if someone or some group is discriminated against fine, but the ACLU keeps pouring millions into their fight against capital punishment. Their claim, its unfair, what liberal lunacy this group has. Seems like they have been use to wasting money like the current administration. Pour millions in, just to see it wasted.....like our tax dollars.
