A Country Divided

I'm not trying to prove or disprove anyone's personal beliefs here, this is just my opinion. I don't consider myself a Republican, Democrat or independent. Not because I don't agree with what either says, but because sometimes I agree with the right & sometimes with the left. My opinions are based on my personal beliefs, life experiences, & morals. I refuse to let any party of people (political, social, or racial) define who I am as a man. If I say I'm a democrat then it's assumed that I'm for abortion, if say I'm a rebublican it's assumed that I'm against abortion. A 'rebublican' can make a post and immediately the 'democrats' start defending thier party AND VIS VERSA. I valid point can be made about the current admin. and will be followed by "well what did the republicans do?". I think part of the reason why our country is loosing respect Worlwide is because the world sees that we are so divided. I mean, we are trying to teach other countries how to form and operate a government system while we can't even agree on the governments role in our own country!
My grandmother used to say "a house devided will fall". Does the same apply for a Country? Whether you believe that or not, I'm sure that every Country that wants to see us fall does.

Our country was founded on personal freedoms and I will fight anyone tooth and nail domestic or foreign who tries to take those freedoms from my family or me. It is time for Americans to get tough and demand our politicians on both sides to stop spending us into bankruptcy. Entitlement programs never work and they never will just look at Medicare and Social security what a mess. Healthcare if it passes will go the same route. So everyone has to choose a side will it be Socialism and gov't takeover of our lives or the side of personal liberty and freedom. The choices are clear.

There is nothing wrong with medicare and social security, they work fine and always have. If you don't pay anything into it, you don't get anything out of it, just like a savings account.</p>

Well Doc every single news agency in this country including the liberal biased ones have reported repeatedly that SS and medicare are either bankrupt or near bankruptcy. They also repeatedly speak of olbummer borrowing from the Chinese.
I can provide concrete proof easily by going to ANY news source and doing just a little searching. It would not do any good with you though because olbummer can do no wrong in YOUR eyes.
The man is a monster and is destroying our country. More and more people are seeing him for what he really is every day. As long as people are turning from him we have a chance. Sooner or later he will not have enough power to do much more damage.

Wow, a guy posts a thoughtful message about how our divisiveness is hurting the nation, and it is turned into another “nana-nana boo-boo, stick your head in doo-doo” thread. Politics have turned into one of the most watched sports in our society. Here’s what I mean:
Tennessee fans are some of the most diehard out there. After Fulmer got the boot, a lot of them jumped on the “Lane Train” wholeheartedly. Now, after Lane has shown his true colors, it’s hard to find a single Tennessee fan that has anything but bad things to say about him.
Many people have gone down this same “can do no wrong” road with a political party. Can any Democrat really say that they like and agree with Nancy Pelosi? Can any Republican say the same for Dick Cheney? There is good and bad on both sides and neither will ever be perfect. To support one party so unconditionally that you cannot even identify any positive in the other or negative in your own is one of the most ignorant things a person can do.
I would wager to say that I’m one of the younger people posting on this thread, but I have no issue whatsoever with saying that some of you need to grow up.

We have been borrowing Chinese money for several years now. Our taxes are only enough to pay the interest on the national debt which means they have to look elsewhere for the money to run the Government. That is straight from the Lee Iocooca book I just finished and he is definetely not a republican. We are running this country's government on Chinese money. Doesn't that worry any of you?
