blast him if he is 3.5 and just a six. What do you think he will score? Looks like to me he might be 60 inches. At 3.5 years old and only 60 inches not going to be much better next year. 90 inches is max for this deer if you are right on it's age.

Yeah. Our rule on the property is "you shoot it, you mount it" on bucks. If he had some g2s he would have been shot already.

3.5 He could be older than that, but I doubt it. From 3.5 to 4.5 their body generally thickens up pretty good and the brisket is a little more pronounced. Next year will tell you a lot. I would for sure pass him, because he will be a real good one next year and more than likely a lot harder to kill. If I lay eyes on a 4.5 year old deer, it makes my week.

churly - 12/24/2013 9:48 AM I can't bring myself to waste a buck tag on him, as he stands now.

"Good Hunter".. He is somewhere between Venison and a small trophy. No real purpose to kill this Deer. I Pass on these Bucks quite often. Proud of you Churly...</p>

If he's older than 3 it's time to put him in the freezer . Not a lot to grow on.
