Anyone been fishing Weiss?

I play in a traveling band and saturday we're playing Jacksonville Alabama. So I am pulling the boat down to weiss to bass fish saturday afternoon and all day Sunday. I was just wondering if anybody has fished it latley and how they did? I'll let ya know how it goes when I get back.

I fished Weiss a few weeks ago, Spinnerbaits seemed to be doing the best. If you cant get anything going, flip docks with a small jig or t-rig finesse worm. Good luck!

Spinnerbaits was the ticket Saturday @ the bfl, jigs in brush, frogs and rats in the weeds.

Do you know how the striper bite is? Have they moved out to the lake yet off the river channel?

I heard today that their dropping the water level due to the drought. Has anyone heard this or how can I find out about it?
