do you know of anything interesting on the bottom of the lake that was there before the dam was built? I recently went to El Salto in Mexico, and there is a church under water and the steeple sticks up above the surface. Pretty cool thing to see. Is there anything of interest on the bottom of chickamauga like this?

I'll take the low hanging fruit here and point out the Old Harrison remains that you can see when the lake is way down. Seems like there were a set of steps and something else.

looks like a car out from grasshopper ramp. not sure if that's interesting but I would like to know the story

Car and tires

If you want to see some cool stuff go to carters lake. I was back somewhat near one of the marinas and I remember seeing couple 100+ foot trees under water in about 200 foot of water.

TVA scrubbed most of their reservoirs pretty clean. ACOE, not so much. Particularly the ones built fast and the ones from later decades ('60's on)

Go into Soddy Creek and just little past the small Marina on the left. There is a barge sunk, it is straight across from the barge tie up on your right. It was sunk after the lake was full but it is cool to see the handrail and everything. James Anderson and I caught nine of our ten fish limit years ago off of it and finished second in a CBA classic.
