Yea that sucks, but something good will come of it since you guys were honest about it and took it like men. Nice job though, thats a huge sack of fish!

RE: B.I.T.E. Controversy at weigh in

Shaun I know yesterday was a tough deal but I commend you and Andy on how you guys represented yourself in a very unlucky situation. I actually know several veteran teams this has happened to and I know just like those teams you just miscounted, it happens. Many years ago in a pretty sizeable tournament my partner and I not only brought in one fish more than the limit we carried them to the scales. I think the limit then was 8 in that particular tournament, but I am living proof this can happen and all you can do is scratch your head and learn from it, I certainly did. Same situation my partner and I would have won the tournament and all I could do was think when and how did we do that. Your character yesterday shows true sportsmanship to be an example for all of us when something unfortunate like that happens. Great sack at 27Lbs you guys had it covered but you stood behind the rules and didnt deny the technicality and that in my opinion is a true winner. Although I benefited I have a huge respect for you guys and good luck you guys deserve it.

Man talk about a bad break, I've never seen a 27 pound sack of fish and i can only imagine how pumped up those guys were, And i can see how that can happen in the heat of a tournament, But the way that they took responsibilty for their mistake says alot about their character, And like the guy said about karma it will come back to you guys and who knows it may come back next weekend, with an even heavier sack.

Congratlations. It could have been worse. Half of the field could have quit when they heard Lamb was fishing. With the way I did, maybe I should have done the same thing.

OUCH! emoEek Keep your head up man. Just one of those days....really, really bad days! emoBigsmile FLW Pro David Fritts, who recently won the Guntersville event, did the same thing and was DQ'd a few months ago....showing it truely can happen to anyone!

Tough break guys. I could see myself doing that, after getting all excited. Yall should be proud of yourselves though, not many folks would have taken one on the chin like that. You'll get your reward one day.

can someone tell me what the top 5 weights were and who had then in the B.I.T.E. tournament

It is my understanding that no official protest was made. I think a protest must have been presented in writing to the tournament director within 15 minutes after the weigh in and that never happened. James Nuckols the BITE Director spoke to the tournament leaders with concerns from several participating fishermen that 6 fish were in their livewell at weigh in. It is my understanding after a brief discussion from Mr. Nuckols with the tournament leaders they said they miscounted and from there it went. Somewhat second hand but pretty sure to be correct.

Well I know Andy Lusk and he's a straight arrow. I feel bad for you Andy. I was there at that tournament and I only had 3 fish so I know how tough it was and for ya'll to have done that good and have it fall away like that is so tough! I agree with what everyone else is saying though...Good Karma in your future.
