Bait in WT

I cast net up some bait for foodsaver this afternoon. I thought that I would have to get in the boat but found that when I got down to the dock that there were lots of shad by the dock. On my first cast I caught 5 crappies but only two were keeper size. I caught 5 keepers while casting the net today but of course threw them all back. All were in less than 5 feet of water under dieing bait balls. I caught about 5 bass but only one that would have kept and was close to two pounds. The wind was pushing dead baits up onto the shore but there were lots of baits in the water still swimming. I also caught one Golden shiner and one Gizzard shad. The gulls were out in the mid creek area too. Here's a pic of the bait and the birds. The gulls were so thick out there at one time it reminded me of the Hitchcock movie The Birds.

I was in the creek the other day for a little while, Polo. I have never seen as many birds are there was in the creek that day. Oh, and I caught 1 of Jmax's crappies and 2 of his bass. I'm going back in there sometime this coming week. emoGeezer
