Did about an hour and half of bank fishing today from about 11:00 to 12:30. Started fishing in a lil' cove where the wind wasn't blowing throwing a spinnerbait and a shallow diving crank bait. Didn't have any takers. It really wasn't all that cold either, but I decided to move over to some rocks and rip-rap where the wind was blowing and I about froze to death. Anyhow, caught 1 lil' bass on the shaller divin' crank and I had about all I could handle of that wind. Does anybody know what the water temp. is now? It didn't seem like it had dropped much or was cold. Not an exciting fishin' report, but I still had fun.

Bassin' Machine, if you like bank fishing, check out Booker T. park on Champion road. Right now is an excellent time to parallel the rip-rap with shallow cranks and soft plastics. I spent about three hours there yesterday and caught 9 bass, 4 of which were solid keepers. Throw a 1/8oz chartreuse Speed Trap and a Zoom Big Critter Craw in watermelon/red flake and I guarantee you'll get bit.

I was out yesterday below the Chickamauga Dam and the water temp was at 65F. The water will probably get down to near 60F after this cold weather leaves.

The cold has probably pushed them off the shallow flats where you were today. Not to worry though, they will usually be back shallow and be very aggressive right after the front passes.emoSun

And that is great advice above from Jason.;)
