BASS PRO SHOPS TO OOLTEWAH!

I FOUND OUT TODAY THAT THERE IS A BIG PUBLIX PLAZA GOING IN BY THE INTERSTATE AND THAT IN THE PLAZA WILL BE BASS PRO SHOPS.ANYONE ELSE HEARD THIS? I GOT IT FROM A PERSON IN THE GROCERY INDUSTRY THAT KNOWS ALL ABOUT PUBLIX COMING TO TOWN SO I HOPE ITS TRUE!

All I've heard about is a Hotel going in north of exit 11. A BPS Outdoor World would be HUGE though.

It is not on the docket for there to be an Outdoor world in the Chattanooga area yet. At least it's not public knowledge. Hope it's true but sounds like a rumor.

I heard they bid on the Walmart site, and didn't get it. I know sales for the Nashville BPS has dropped ever since I graduated from MTSU!emoLaugh If they do come to Ooltewah, I'm gonna have to move!

I have heard something about a Cabelas moving into the area from a lady that works for them but I can't see a BPS coming down here. It is a short drive to Sevierville and with Atlanta close as well that would be a lot of stores in the same general area.

THe Cabelas is in Adairsville, GA. Its about 45 min south of Chatt on 75. I've heard it is opening real soon!

It's possible it may not be a full-fledged BPS outdoor world.

There is a BP gas station in Vonore, TN which has a Bass Pro Shop section in the store. Selection is limited obviously. They have a Bass Pro Shops sign displayed on the front of the station. It's sorta like a BPS branch or satellite store. Been my experience the item you need is the item they don't stock there.

Last I heard was they hadn't even broke ground on it yet and they weren't sure if they were going to still build it there or not?

The only two that are being built near us anytime soon is Birmingham and Macon. There have been all kinds of rumors about them coming to Chattanooga, but I I don't think its going to be in the next few years. Most of their new stores are going to be out west for a while, they are trying to go after Cabela's. We might get one eventually, but I'd say its a good five years away.

Cabelas was supposed to open in Adairsville in September of this year but because of some city father down there doing something dumb like going back on the tax break incentives Cabelas has never even started and now they are looking at Cartersville,GA

I was in Macon 3/13 and the bps was open then.

Macon store was open last November.
