Baylor fishing Team Tournament

Baylor Highschool's fishing team is holding a tourney to help raise money toward the wounded warrior project

Where: Harrison Bay State Park
When : October 26 daylight till 3 pm
Cost: 40 dollars per boat


Sign-ups will be that morning before daylight please get there plenty early to sign up

You should talk about payout or prizes that will be given to increase participation

30 percent of proceeds will go to the winner. 20 percent will go to the second place finisher. 10 percent will go to third place. We are working on getting prizes also

Grundy County is hosting a high school tourney Sept 21 on Nickajack. Would Baylor be interested?

Yes we are interested. We are trying to get a few anglers into the tournament it is hard for some due to conflict in schedules.

Most of the kids mom's and dad's are very well off. Just look at the cars the kids drive...

In a lot cases you are correct, but there are also a lot of families at schools like Baylor, McCallie, and GPS that have children on scholarship either full or partial that make an enormous sacrifice for there children to attend these schools. Each of these schools have scholarship funds through endowments that provide an opportunity for a lot of kids to attend these schools that otherwise wouldn't be able too... I think the fact that High School Bass fishing is becoming more and more popular is an awesome thing, and instead of bashing a thread I think we should support efforts like this as much as possible because this is the future generation of our sport and the people that will be taking the reigns of caring for and managing our fisheries so that your children and grandchildren can experience the great outdoors for generations to come. Yes my child attends Baylor and I am a cement worker. Trust me I am not well off. Matter of fact I am well off of being well off. Lol

Oh and guys I did forget to mention that the proceeds from the tournament will go to the wounded warrior project and not to the team. We are doing this for a good cause so if any of y'all can we would love to have y'all out there supporting a good cause.
