Dockside BBQis pretty good. For sure the best BBQ you can get to by boat.

Dockside has revamped their menu this year with new items and larger portions but I haven't tried the BBQ...yet.

Just curious about the forum the owner posted on. I work with the owner at his real job and just wondering what he had to say. I will tell y'all guys something. As long as JC has been open, none of his coworkers have ever ate there. I will probably never. All you need to do is just talk to the owner one time and your mind will be made up.

Niteowl, it pretty comical what he has posted. The comment I was referring to was that he can't take his wife out for a nice dinner due to how busy they are now. Haha

He has made some other outlandish statements but to throw your wife in there is pretty sad to me.

In that case Choo-Choo in Chickamauga. Hot sause, no tomato, vineagar and spices off the meat....Sheeeeeee-ut!

New one where the old Prospect Grocery used to be on Harrison Pike. Called Forked Tongue BBQ, best I have had in a long time and you get a heapin helpin of everything! Extremely nice folks too. One thing though is they have odd hours.

Don't live around that way but i have ate my fair share of BBQ. Best place in dalton is southern smoke on Cleveland hwy/ dalton pike north side in Varnell across from big d's flea market. Best BBQ in surrounding areas is blue ridge mountain BBQ. If u ever go towards blue ridge to trout fish you have to eat there. Smoked chicken salad is off the chain. Personally I like a vinegar based sauce and they have it along with like 5 others and you get to put it on yourself.
