anyone know the best seafood restaurant around our area other than boathouse or bonefish? any suggestions are appreciated, love me some fresh seafood emoToast

Id say Danny is more correct than anyone, especially if your opinion is any of the fast food joints. emoBang emoBang emoBang That crap doesnt even qualify as food matter, let alone seafood.

While nobody's "Seafood" restaurant is great here, many do their seafood dishes decent, but just don't specialize in a large selection.

Easy bistro is good for the most part, but pricey.
Cafe Roma in Cleveland, is GREAT but pricey and a small menu.
Bonefish has a couple pretty good items.
Countryside does a pretty good fried grouper.
Arie's on the lake has some pretty good grouper sandwiches and shrimp.

Bonefish Grill is good and I've had some pretty good meals at Red Lobster over the years. I mostly just buy my seafood from The Fresh Market on Gunbarrel Rd. I want to know why I've never seen fried crappie in a restaurant...anywhere ? It's certainly plentiful enough. All you can eat catfish at Dockside Cafe at HBSP but not even one measly 10-inch crappie somewhere - sometime ? emoScratch

I was actually going to say one of the upper end sushi rest. about as good as seafood gets around here. But not a buffet!!! Sushi from there is about like just ordering up.diaherra

If you are talking fried fish the Catfish house at Nickajack just past Sullivan's Landing is a great one for fried fish. I wish it was just a little closer. They have whole small catfish if you prefer and catfish fillets as well. They also have some good shrimp. I like the small whole cats but you have to deal with the bones. My better half likes the boneless fillets. They also have pies to die for. Dang-it! Now I am wanting to go there. I knew I should not have started to talk about this. emoDoh Jmax

You guys need to get out more if a "fried fish" house is the best you can come up with.

Like Danny eludded to, a real Gulf Coast style seafood joint would make millions here. Take teh best of all the local places and still add lots more to it, then we are talking. Ah, such is life, I better head to the Gulf Coast to find a place now that Im hungry.
