Getting tired of only getting 3-4 years use out of previous vac sealers, anyone recommend a really good one for my next purchase?

Food Saver is hard to beat. I have had mine for 10+ years. I do multiple deer each year, elk, fish, jerky, etc. Never had a problem out of it.

Hell...I spend more on bags each year than the cost of that thing. Maintenance and proper care is the key to keeping these things running right. Only.way to get better is to spend 300 and get a LEM commercial grade.

I have had 5 Foodsaver brand units, all have sucked so far, no pun intended. I will never buy another. Looking for a good replacement for next year.

Thanks for the feedback...my two previous vac units were the high end food saver models, I have not been impressed after the first year or so with each. Yes, I kept clean and took care of...they just lost ability to make 100% seal too quickly in my opinion.

I think I will try a LEM next.

Strange...I use mine for deer season and during the year when we buy meat in bulk. Never had an issue.
