No, I'm waiting to make a decision after 14 more people tell me what 1/2 ton vehicle pulls anaerodynamiclightweight bass boat really well.

Just wait until this fall Dodge is coming out with a 1/2 ton diesel pick up. you may like that. Do the math, gas vs diesel, and that should make your mind up for you.

OR, jokers like above telling me to buy a NEW, or yet to come out truck....

If I had Mallards money Id buy a new one right now.

I guess the part about, "I need a BIG truck, and they are too expensive" escaped most people. LOL

Yep my money, that's funny, I drive a 11 year old gasser every day.

Get you a big OLD diesel, just make sure you go through the front end before you buy it. And keep extra pads and calipers on hand. Not to mention the oil and filters you will go through, anywhere from 10-20 quarts depending on make. Plus the fuel and air filters are more important than a gasser. Oh yeah don't forget the injectors and injector pump that will invariable give up the ghost soon after purchase. If and this is a big if, you can find a diesel truck that has very low mileage and has not ben rode hard and put up wet, it will work for you. But 95% of the trucks you will be looking at are or have been worked till they become a finacial liability to repair and are just replaced.

You asked for opinions, there is mine. And I run several diesel's in our fleet every day.

Tahoe is best for real. Heavy enough to stop anything it will pull. Pop the hatch and you can see trailer tires while backing it. I love mine. I pull 18 foot sea ark and 20 foot sea ray with no problems pulling or stopping with plenty of power and brakes left

I'm confused too. Shouldn't it be a truck pulling boat discussion?

Whatever you do don't get my tow vehicle - Honda Civic sedan.

I see we have a wide range of weights pulled. Spur has a heavy load to pull as do I. With this weight it is a different ball game...
