Boat rear ended while being trailered

I'll be ready for the ins adjuster when they show up. I'll have a couple of quotes in my hand.
My ins co said it's not my fault so I shouldn't have to pay jack, but we'll see.

Thanks again everyone.

I would have got MY insurance company involved from the beginning. You should get estimates and professional opinions, and then go to YOUR insurance company for the funds. They can recover the money from the offending party's insurance. That's why you pay premiums. Let your agent to their job.

My ins co is involved. We'll see what happens now. Both ins co's are talking to each other and I'm talking to both too. Just waiting on mechanic now.

Call every know it all friend you have and have them look at it. If these never miss anything's can't find the smallest of problems, there probably isn't one. And the biggie: if they missed something, at least you won't have to hear, I wished you'd called me. Very much like the friends who can only get you a killer deal, after you've already bought and used something. What happened to you, has to be every boat owners, big fear. I keep one eye in the rear view and my butt stays clenched at all stop sign and red lights. I have been tempted to put the truck in park and walk back there to see, just how close it really is because from my POV, it looks like my foot is in their grill.

I have been tempted to put the truck in park and walk back there to see, just how close it really is because from my POV, it looks like my foot is in their grill.

I HAVE gotten out and looked. They rolled down their window and yelled. "WHAT?". I just looked at them and shook my head.
