i have looked for any info on the boating crash at the nick sat.. my friend an his fishing partner had a bullet try to get in there stratos ..an did a good job of it ..if the driver of the bullet had not seen them at the last minute he would have taken two lives.. all because he was not paying attention to where he was going... i was told by my friend that he had a big screen mounted right in front of his console...so i guess he had his eyes on it an just could not see the 20 foot bass boat right in his path.....maybe that channel 3 reporter will report on the accident if he has any info on it i believe his name is coleman....were do you find the channel 3 reports ....thanks for any help....its just my opinion that tenn should have a test you have to take to drive a boat...they could call it the stupidity test.....

I heard about this Sunday but haven't heard the whole story but accidents do happen. Chris has probably more experience driving a bass boat then anyone on this forum. So saying that it proves that it can happen to anyone no matter who you are always wear your life jackets.

I fished the ABA Saturday and heard nothing about it at the weigh-in ceremonies. The weather was very bad till noon and I can see visibility issues but you still have to adjust your speed for safe travel. Any idea of where it happened?

I also was ther fishing and did not hear of or see anything. fished bennit lake and mullens cove

I fished from the dam to just up river of Hales Bar, so we had the lower end of the lake covered. I do know several boats went to the River Park area, so it may have been up there

If it happened at 10 it was raining cats and dogs! I was out there drowning about that time. Lol So visibility would have been an issue around that time just saying.

<font color="#ff0000"><font size="4"><font face="georgia, palatino">they were both lucky ..i think they are fine..he an some friends looked at the boat an it looks to be around 4 grand maybe..could be a little less . he is getting a estimate this week end to know for sure..the bullet had minor damage on the front bottom as far as i know.. emoUSA

I spoke to two boy's who were in the Bullet, not the driver and they said it was pouring rain and the Stratos cut in front of the Bullet. The driver of the Bullet has as much experience on the water as anyone out there, he is not going to stare at a depth finder in pouring rain and run over another boat. The main thing is that everyone is alright.

emoRedface The accident would be bad/ embarrasing enough. If no one was jurt or injured thats pretty much a miracle and I'm sure lessons were learned. If it was one of you driving would you really want your name smeared all over the forum? We obviously don't know all of the details and circumstances. I wouldn't want a bunch of people that don't know me bashing me and my abilities operating a boat. Just a thought.... emoConfused

If you werent there, all your information is second -hand and all you are doing is trying to bash someone, or get something started. I havent heard about any boat crash, but if one of my buddies was involved in one, I believe I would not be on a public forum running my mouth about something I wasnt involved in.

TWRA made a report, let them sort it out. There are several people who witnessed the crash. The main point is that no one was hurt. Let's quit playing the blame game and let TWRA do the job that they are paid to do.
