are all you stick/string guys as eager as i am for opening day? i have not got to shoot that much this year as i normaly do. but fell confident in my equipment and the area i will be hunting, bad thing is i will not get to hunt opening w/e due to work. but there's not that much pressure on my hunting lease. we kind of have a gentlemans agreement of our hunting area's as individuals, so if anyone whacks one let us know and see some pic as i will do the same. good luck to all and be safe. emoThumbsup

I cant stand waiting any longer, I have been shooting a few arrows here and there for about a month now but this last week before I leave the house I go and shoot one arrow at each of the three targets in my yard... so far all been kill shots, lets hope they fly true come saturday at the branch.

4-wheeler ready, bow ready, stand ready, bug spray ready, ....heck...everything ready...just need it to be a little cooler and the deer really to start moving and I will not be able to sit still I will be so excited. emoDance Got the bow out today and let a few fly at the target. Cleaned up the 4 wheeler in case I need to haul one out. Yep...this is the time of year that sane men get a little more stupid and sit in a tree hours on end to have a chance to let a small alluminum shaft fly at a deer in hopes it will find it's mark and put one down. emoGoofy Jmax

I am looking forward to a quite morning in the woods. Just another reason to be up in a tree well before the sun comes up. Good luck to all of you guys and wear your saftey harness if your gonna be in the trees.

Just a couple more days. good luck to everyone. our doe season is open until oct 4, then i can go after antlers. last week i got about 200 chigger bites on my legs, not cool. yesterday i went and scouted out a few new areas, put several tree limb scratches in the truck going off road, and spotted a few does...but no new chiggers! i'll scout some more next week, then its time to get serious.
and jmax, its 2008 man, get some carbon shafts flying;)

Coop, Surely you know that Permanone is the only way to keep the chigs off of ya!

BTW, Jim's arrows are about 1/3 the size of yours and he refers to them as bolts! ;) His arms are so loose from fishing all the time he is unable to draw a bow back! emoPoke

i may have to give permanone a try. i have a rynoskin suit coming in the mail. i have never had chiggers like this before. they are killing me. wearing the mesh pants and shirt i'm sure doesn't help, lots of holes for the little creepy crawlies to get to me.

I actually get a jump on everybody. Got drawn for the Hiwassee Refuge bow hunt that begins tomorrow.

Usually a high percentage hunt... I've been drawn there twice before with 100% success rate so far. Hopefully I can maintain my "batting average." emoBigsmile

It's 2008, sometimes we all get confused. Permanone works. And good luck to all this weekend emoHungry
