Braid line

I don't use braid, so I probably shouldn't comment.  I have one reel with Fireline on it, and I dislike it.  It was too expensive just to rip off :)  I guess I just like my cheap ole BPS Excel Mono...

I use PowerPro and like it alot but my issue is the knots I use. Could someone please suggest (again) the proper knots for tying to lures and floro leaders. Diagrams for tying would be helpful as well. Thanks, Al

The Uni is the best knot for connecting braid to anything, whether its directly to the bait, connecting a leader, or tying into the mono backing that you should be using under the braid. There is also a knot that I believe is called the San Diego knot and its supposed to be great as well, but I've never tried it. Palomars slip and actually test VERY poorly in surge tests.

I've about reached the point of tying a Uni for everything. 4 wrap Uni for mono and a 7 wrap Uni for braid.

<font color="#ff0033">RR, if you will tie the palomar knot and when you pull it up...use the tag end and tie about 3 or4 over hand knots and pull tight she will not slip....  this comes to you from an ole Indian trick....just thought I would throw that bit of info in on this thread....FA
