You can't convince me that a 250sho will out perform a 250pro xs on a 21bullet I have fished out of beetle juice's boat it does ride good and handle good iam not a huge fan of dual consoles I like some floor space and a 21bullet seems to to have the right amount of it all

Fishing is not about speed. I will have to admit that I like a boat that will move. It is about getting to where you want to be, move when you want to move, and get home. The 4 cycles will do that for a long period of time and they will be much more economical on fuel. The end result is that you get to fish for less money or at least more time on the water for the same amount.

C and O Marine is reporting 93 mph with and Allison XB-21 basSport pro with a 250 SHO. That's 10 mph faster than mine with a 250XS! Now they are probably exagerating a bit but I can tell you my next motor will be a 250 SHO.

a sho on a stroker is right near 100. i talked to wayne at hydrotec today and he says he thinks 100 is possible. and if my memory serves me correctly, i think there is a guy named esd that runs a stroker with a 250xs on it and he has run right near 100. so i think they are about the same, and everything i read seems to have them pretty close to the same with the sho having better holeshot. and dont forget no oil to fill up and no oil tank for less weight.

that esd guy posted on bbc that they hit 112 the other day there was a post in the lounge section.. man thats to darn fast for me.. one day ill have me a big rig but 80 is plenty fast for me

So, why don't you see them in BASS or FLW tours? Is it just a sponsorship deal?
I remember when BASS only allowed 150 hp Engines, that was a safety issue'
You don't think they are not allowed in the big tournys because they are "Just too damn fast" do you? emoScratch

drag, u dont see allisons, bullets, or strokers at the pro level cause none of those companies offer sponsorships to pros. its all about the money and pros make a lot of money from boat sponsorship deals.
as for u jdk, thats what i said too. then once you get to 75, u want 80, then once at 80, u want 85, then 90 and so on. i got my boat into the lower 90s and now i want upper 90s. i would love to see 100, but just dont think i can get there without losing hull weight. lol. but i still got one of the fastest stratos's in the country so im trying to be content with that, but its hard.
u can always go faster, it just cost $$$$$$$.

Are you talking about boats or motors? The SHO, Yamahas are all over the FLW tour and I don't think you will see them on bass because Skeeter and Rangers are running mostly Evinrudes. Which supplies a lot of money if you win with that product on your boat. Although I am seeing some Rangers stating to run Yamahammers.
