Besides the advice on how to keep em alive in the livewell, the takeaway is, tournaments don’t seem to have a negative effect on a lake.
 
As for Crappie the Chattanooga and East Tn clubs have elected to not fish the tournaments during the summer months. Just saying. Muskrat has some good advice and I might add my partner and I have started practicing Fizzing all fish and since haven't lost the first one.
 
I'm going with it's bad for the fishery, it's a good excuse for me! It's not that I'm bad at fishing it's just all you tournament guys catching all the fish lol.
