Was a balmy 28, shorts and flip flop weather. Mike and I ran to our first spot, near the dam. Caught a short fat largemouth and a 17"+ smallmouth in the first half hour or so. Baby brush hog got the largie, jig and trailer got the smallie. Had to put the pole in the lake every few casts to deice the guides. Micro guides and below zero are not a good combination. Ran to spot two, and another boat was sitting there. Fished down lake a little more, then ran to Harrison bay area. Not even a bite. Ran back down the lake, planned on fishing our second spot, and dang, the boat that was there earlier beat us there, coming from the opposite direction. Moral of that story, go to the juice first, then fish around. Ran back to our starting spot, and Mike puts a fat keeper spot in the livewell. That was our day, close to a two pound spot.
Congrtas to Steven and Billy, 13+ sack, and big large mouth, and big fish side pot. We kept our streak going with big spot.
