Started running up river, fishing docks. First dock, first cast, first (short) fish. Caught several shorts, moved. Fished Racoon mtn., both sides , no keepers. Moved south, frogged some mats, nothing. Went to the flat we caught our winning stringer in the last regiular CFF, just a couple shorts. Down to the dam, two keepers on a flat with scattered grass. Mike caught both on a Senko. We caught plenty of fish, just two keepers. Fished top water, Senko, jig, square bill,worms.
Sunday, started on the mat flat across from CFP. Nothing. Went toward the dam, fished a flat with docks, got first keeper. Caught several more shorts. Moved , got keeper two, both on a magnum finesse worm. Mike puts largemouth three in the boat. Move, add largemouth number four. Another move, started catching spots. Ended with five, a limit. Used same baits as Saturday. Our spot didn't make it, lost a pound at weigh in. Had around twelve for two days, nine ounces out of second.
